Thanks for the plug. We had a lot of fun writing it and exploring the
product.

We made the decision early-on that the book was going to be about Xcode
2 and NOT about programming or any specific language, so if you're a
"real" newbie, be sure to get a good book or two on the programming
language(s) you want to employ and then we think that the Xcode 2 Book
will give you the basis for applying your newly-acquired programming
skills.

If you already know how to progam in one or more languages, we think
that the Xcode 2 Book will help you apply that knowledge to implement
your projects using Xcode.
