I think they just wanted to show off that they could do this.
Undoing past
the last save has saved me many times, and I'm always delighted to be
reminded how cool it is.
Sean should file an enhancement request to add a Pref's checkbox to
toggle the warning. I'd like to see dozens of GUI options like this
added, being so simple to implement... ;)
