Title: Simple Icon Composer Question

I am brand new to development. At this time my modest goal is to create new icons and then change the default folder and file icons on my Desktop to the new icons I have created.

I launched Xcode’s Icon Composer utility, imported my PNG file, did a save, and now I have a “new_icons.icns” file on my Desktop.

I just need to know what to do next. How I change a file’s default icon to the icon contained in the new_icons.icns document?
