I can only speak for Shark, but there is no known issue with Shark
and @try blocks. Are you sure that you are actually spending a
significant amount of time in the @try block?

Hi folks!
I just tried to profile a an app+framework of mine using Shark and
Sampler (when Shark failed to give me enough information).
Two issues:
1)
I looks to me that Shark didn't track stuff that went on inside a
@try Objective-C handler. In the relevant framework method
the interesting stuff is going on inside this @try block. Is it
known that Shark has any issue with this? I couldn't find anything
in the archives or Google.
2)
After Shark failed me, I tried Sampler to at least get a feeling
for what's taking the time. Mysteriously enough Sampler is failing
me, too.
After stopping recording samples every click in Sampler's UI is
giving me this line on the console:
2006-08-01 13:55:25.819 Sampler[9897] *** -
[NSConcreteAttributedString
_encodingCantBeStoredInEightBitCFString]: selector not recognized
[self = 0xa04e960]
What gives?
Thanks,
