After that previous thread about how well "Find in Project" worked
for me, it just stopped working. I'm telling it to find "In
Project," "Textual," and "Contains." "Ignore case" is not checked.
When I click find, it only searches 10-20 of the 400+ files in the
project.
I'm at a loss as to why this stopped working. I'm pretty sure it
was working earlier today. Is there a search index I could rebuild
or something along those lines?
Only the "Definition" search uses the index. But the "In Project"
setting is just a find set—by clicking the Options button you can
create a new find set or redefine an existing one like "In
Project". So I'd set the In Project set and click Options and make
sure all the settings there are as desired.
The find set "In Project" has the following options set:
Search in open projects
All Canidate files
All files in this project
Project files only
Search in files and folders
The table just below the "Search in files and folders" checkbox is
empty. I don't believe I have modified the options in any way.
There is no obvious pattern to the files that do get searched. It
seems to be the same few sets (plural intended) of files that get
searched each time. It's hard to say for sure since it does go pretty
quickly.
