If you plan on doing java development, it's advantageous to have the
ref docs locally installed. As the installer notes, indexing the
documents can take a long time. If you run top, you'll see
pbhelpindexer soaking up most of your CPU. Depending on your
hardware and what other work is being done, I've seen this take from
as little as 25 minutes to as much as 3 hours.
