Ok, I fixed it. The problem was two preferences files in ~/Library/
Preferences.
com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
com.apple.AddressBook.plist
I removed them and now I can connect to my phone just fine.

As a followup, I created another user account and that account is
able to connect Address Book to my phone. I used Migration
Assistant to pull all of my information from my PowerBook to my
MacBook Pro. Could I have somehow gotten something mixed up
regarding PPC/Intel? Finder tells me that Address Book on the new
machine is a Universal binary, while the one on my old machine is PPC.
Thanks,

Hi, the only reference I found using Google to an error I'm seeing
was on this mailing list so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I just bought a MacBook Pro and am having a problem when I try to
connect Address Book to my Sony Ericsson T616 over Bluetooth. I
have successfully paired my laptop and my phone. I can use the
Bluetooth File Exchange utility to browse files on the phone, and
iSync works for syncing calendars and addresses. I can also use
my phone to connect to the internet.
When Address Book starts up I see this in console.log:
2006-08-21 12:49:00.294 Address Book[2384] *** NSRunLoop ignoring
exception '*** file inconsistency: read 'I', expecting 'L'' that
raised during posting of delayed perform with target 3e4e10 and
selector 'finishSetup'
And this is what I get when I click the Bluetooth button:
2006-08-21 12:49:06.861 Address Book[2384] *** file inconsistency:
read 'I', expecting 'L'
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
