When you wrote that you removed the plists and cache files, have you

Yeah, that was my first thought, besides deleting the Build folder, but like
I said, this even happens on a new project.

Other items I've tried trashing:

/Library/Caches
~/Library/Caches
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Xcode.plist

I uninstalled originally using the perl script that came with the 2.4 dev
tools. I have also tried uninstalling using the 2.3 uninstall script, and
reinstalling.

Eric

I had the same/similar problem. It turns out for whatever reason that if the preference General:Save window state is checked, Xcode crashes. Merely trashing com.apple.Xcode.plist won't do it because Xcode then does its first time launch and if you don't uncheck Save window state you're back to square one. So trash your prefs, restart Xcode, make sure that you *do not set window states to be saved*, quit Xcode and relaunch and all is well.

Even now, if I set the pref to Save window states, Xcode will crash on next launch.

HTH,

regards,

Ralph
