Just be sure that your compiler flags do have "-g" flag (generate debugging symbols), and your link option/procedure does not have "strip debug info" setting

Hello Everybody,

My name is Fabián Araneda, I'm an informatic student from Chile and I have just subscribed to the mailing list.
Now I'm doing a research work (for the university) about the performance of Open Source applications, and I decided to do in a Mac OS environment. I downloaded few open source applications and installed the Xcode package. The idea was use Shark (among other performance tools) to see the source code functions involved with the performance issues of the applications under study.

And that is my problem. I have read (in this mailing list) that a lot of people have had problems seeing the source code of the applications they have complied, in Shark. So I have the same problem.

I have followed all the guidelines to make this possible, but I still can't see the source code. I have tried everything that I have read, but it doesn't work. So please, I really need the help of those of you that have had the same problem and you fixed it.

I'm working with with the 2.4.1 Xcode version and the 4.4.3 Shark version. The applications that I'm trying to analise are SeaShore, Transmission and CyberDuck.

Well, I hope that you can help me and give me guidelines to compile my proyects and use Shark correctly.

Thanks and goodbye to everybody.
