creating a .dylib and .la file - how?

Hi,

Using Xcode 2.4.1

I'm creating a dynamic library (foo.dylib) which works fine.

But to be able to use the library from another application I need a file to link with (foo.la).

So my questions is:

How can I create the needed foo.la file?
Can Xcode create that at the same time as the foo.dylib file
or do I need to create it afterwards with another tool?
