I'm a digest subscriber, too, but I stay up-to-date on lively topics by
using the list archives:
  <http://lists.apple.com/archives/xcode-users/2007>

The date-sorted view for the current month is rarely more than several
minutes behind, and shows posts ordered newest to oldest.

I frequently use it to see if a question I've read in digest mode is still
unanswered, before taking time to answer it.  I'm posting this to the list
because it seems a lot of people don't know about the near-real-time list
archives.
