You might want to ask your Cocoa-related questions in cocoa-dev (or Carbon-related questions in carbon-dev). This list relates to the Xcode tool set, not to the work you do with it.


In your position, I might have troubled to examine the NSTabViewItem and NSTabView options in Interface Builder, and the documentation for those classes. I might then find there is no public support for what you propose. Total time this might have taken before taking up others' time: one minute.

I might then reflect on the mechanism Cocoa does provide for associating actions with keystrokes — menu items — and consider creating some of those.
