I'm running into problems building a package (ettercap-NG-0.7.3),
which requires -pthread option in gcc.
The manpage of gcc says it's available but if i call
gcc-4.0 with this option, it reports:
powerpc-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.1: unrecognized option '-pthread'

Is there a patch? Am i doing anything wrong?
(I'm using xcode_2.4.1)

On Mac OS X you will get pthreads regardless of that setting (or lack their of). Don't worry about specifying it on Mac OS X.
