Correct. That is why we keep 10.2 machines around for testing *and* debugging (specifically also a Beige G3, which is the minimum machine officially supported. It also gives you nice feedback what kind of performance you might be falsely assuming) . And if you are serious about your software, you want to test *and* debug it on all OS versions you plan to deploy on.
That said, depending on your user profile, 10.2 may not be worth your troubles.
