Limitations
* Code built with GCC 4.0 does not run on versions of Mac OS X prior
to Mac OS X v10.3 (10.3.9 for C++ or Objective-C++). To target these
versions of Mac OS X, you must build using GCC 3.3.
Also, Objective-C direct dispatching has to be turned off. We had it
turned on for some of our projects somehow and wondered why our crap
wouldn't run on 10.3.x when it was compiled with GCC 3.3.
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/gcc-3.3/gcc/Objective_002dC-Dialect-Options.html#index-_002dfobjc_002ddirect_002ddispatch-181
has more information on it.
