Please forgive me if this has been asked before, I did search the
archives, but I probably didn't use the right search terms.
Is there a way to print a variable's value to the console without
having it be truncated?
For example, I am looking at a very long string which is represented
as a char * in the debugger. I can see the beginning of its value.
When I choose "Print Description to the Console" from the context
menu, I get an error which I'm guessing is because it isn't a
Objective-C object? Or is that a Core Foundation object?
So, then I go to the Console and type: print (char*)varName which
prints out:
$1 = 0x164425be "<part of the string>" ...
I'd like the whole string. I hate having to type print (char*)varName
+ <some number> to try to guess where in the string the information I
want is.
Is there a setting to just have it print the whole thing? Or to
greatly increase the number of characters it prints?
Thanks.
