I have recently installed Leopard and Xcode 3.0 on two intel core duo's machines an iMac and MacBook, and on both machines it takes several minutes to create or open an existing project.  Has anyone experienced similar delays and is there an issue?

This happens in certain network configurations where Xcode asks for he hostname for the current machine and your DNS server doesn't respond, and Xcode doesnt cuntinue until the DNS server times out.

One cure is to add your hostname into the /etc/hosts file, but that is not appropriate in all cases.

We continue to investigate and it would be helpful to know your network configuration, so please file a Radar report.
