distcc and Xcode 2.5 (incompatible service)

Installed Xcode 2.5 on MBP and Mac server. However Distributed Builds
complains that the OS versions are incompatible, even though they are
same version. Does the build number matter with Xcode 2.5? If so, how to
distribute builds to OS X Server?
The server (OS X Server) has "Share my computer for shared workgroup
builds (distcc)" checked. The local machine (MBP) does not.
Server OS: 10.4.10 (8R2218b, i386)
Resources: gcc 3.3 (1819), gcc 4.0.1 (5370)
Local OS: 10.4.10 (8R2232, i386)
Resources: gcc 3.3 (1819), gcc 4.0.1 (5370)
