I work on a laptop, and *love* the all-in-one Xcode layout. I've just
upgraded to Leopard, and so far, so good. My C++ code builds, stuff
runs as expected.
However, considering the cruft of settings inherited from Xcode 1 -> 2
-> 3 I logged in via a vanilla ( emergency ) user account to see what
a completely virgin Xcode 3 should behave like. I saw that with all-in-
one selected, I get a completely different toolbar, with a different
"page" selector ( with only two entries ). I also get a different set
of widgets to put in the toolbar.
Screenshot:
From my normal account, I'm seeing a toolbar like I had in Xcode 2.
I've deleted my preferences, I've deleted the stuff in AppSupport/
Xcode. I see this ( which is my old Xcode 2 toolbar ) with empty new
projects as well as old projects.
Screenshot:
The new toolbar with two modes seems to make more sense with the new
"blending" of debugging and running, and I'm wondering what gunk I've
dragged with me across multiple Xcode updates, and how I can clean up.
Xcode 3 seems like a big step forward, but if it's acting funny
because of old pref data, I'd like to know how to "virginize" it so I
can move forward with the rest of you.
Thanks,
Shamyl Zakariya
