Yes, it is. A given version of gcc is actually about a dozen programs
and several hundred support files, and you've only copied one of them
over.

being the case are there instructions for installing everything GCC
3.3
needs somewhere?
There should be an option in the installer to customize what you
install. Older versions of gcc should be one of the options.
