For the past few years, I have had to include libtiff in two of my projects. I tried to make a universal build last winter, on a PPC machine. It would compile fine but the Intel binary would refuse to open files. I tracked down the problem to one of the headers that is created during the configure process (on a PPC machine, with an Intel machine as the target).

I described the problem in an email to the email address in the README file, and have a copy of it if anyone is interested (send me a private email). I do not know if the problem has been corrected since last winter or not.

David
