I know this may be a stupid question but I thought I would ask. What is the difference between an XIB and a NIB. I am migrating my project to Leopard and using the new Inteface Builder. Is XIB preferred on Leopard rather than NIB? Should I just use NIB files because of compatibility issue with Tiger?

I think you'll find that when you build your application, XIB files get compiled into NIB files. At least, that's the impression I got at WWDC this year. So I don't think Tiger compatibility is an issue when choosing between the two formats.

Kind regards,

Alastair.
