Hi,
the solution was typing "defaults write com.apple.Xcode UsePerConfigurationBuildLocations NO" into the terminal window.
Thank you for your help, Frank

if I set up a different to standard deployment folder according to the documentation everything works fine, apart from the fact that the target ist placed in a folder named "Deployment" that I can't get rid of. How can I just place the target file there, without the wrapping "Deployment" folder?
Thanks in advance, Frank Renner
According to what I understand from this question, it appears that you do not want to see the build products in a specific configuration folder. If this is what you are looking for then, you can inspect the target and change the value " Per-configuration Build Products Path" build setting to $(BUILD_DIR)/ from $(BUILD_DIR)/$(CONFIGURATION).
Please elaborate more on the question if this was not what you were looking for.
