Uh, something is wrong. I see an i with dots, an upside down question mark, and a one-half fraction. When I look at the release notes, I see, "They are now located in the developer directory's Library/Xcode/ folder." Granted, the quote isn't an apostrophe (or neutral quote as it is used in this case) as I used, but I definitely see a possessive there.


for the reasons mentioned, before.  Does it mean "the
directory in which the developer tools were installed"?  3
examples, if well-written, would make it clear.

It seems pretty clear to me. It's the Library/Xcode directory belonging to the developer directory.


Writing documentation of all kinds is pains-taking work,

While we're on the subject, is that "painstaking work"? =)
