Pretty much the standard tome is Hillegass' "Cocoa Programming for Mac
OS X". It's the book he uses to teach the course at Big Nerd Ranch.
It's more an experience though, as he says in the preface, because
it's written in a very speaking-oriented style (much as it's
delievered in a classroom), and the book itself flows almost as a
Cocoa application would. It's a bit similar to the K&R book in tone,
actually, where they kind of give a whirlwind tour of the language,
not a formal treatment. You really have to clear your mind and trust
him to take you where you're going, almost as if he were Willy Wonka.
