Does scm work properly with passwordless ssh? I use a kerberized ssh so that I can use a single-sign-on, it works properly in the terminal, but xcode had severe issues with this configuration. (i.e. it didn't work at all)
All I can say is that we fixed about 8 bugs that had kerberos somewhere in the description in Leopard, and there are none currently in the unfixed queue. In general, all the SCM systems work more smoothly with the their command-line equivalents, using the same underlying environment variables and user-directory files when possible. So while I don't have a specific bug fix to point to or demonstrable proof that it works with passwordless kerberized ssh, we think it should (and it's certainly worth filing a specific bug if it doesn't.) Today I had also a feedback by the devbugs guys telling me that 'improvements have been carried on the new xcode 3 with respect to scm management', but nothing specific. Can now a project be downloaded via scm, imported, and modified in xcode 3 directly?
Yes. The code sense in 2.5 was not smart and fast with respect to external libraries, it took a while to have a working code completion compared for example with eclipse. Is xcode 3 a major improvement on this side?
We've made significant improvements in Code Sense speed, responsiveness, and accuracy. It may be up to you to judge whether they meet your needs.
