Do those "First Next Last All" widgets that show up for NSArrays in the GUI of the debugger do anything?

I can never get my array contents to display anywhere even though it will list the indexes.

It seems as if the debugger is supposed to show the array elements but I never see them. I'm wondering if there is a setting I am missing or if I need to reinstall Xcode.

I don't think there's a setting. I saw them work just once a few weeks ago on an STL vector, but never managed to repeat the experience or work out why.
