After importing my project into svn, I usually rename the top level directory ${project} to ${project}.local.
Then I check out the project from svn and make sure that it works before I delete the original files.

Another thing that you might want to do before importing is to move the build location outside of your
project folder (you can do this in the project's info window.) You don't really need all that binary data in
svn (and I also ran into some problems with xcode when the build folder was under svn.)

Hi,
I am trying to get SVN working in XCode 3.1 - I have set up a file based repository on my local machine, and that looks set up fine. I 'imported' the directory tree of my project into SVN from the XCode SVN Repositories menu.

I then tried to "Commit Entire Project" from the XCode SVN menu and got the error
<PATH> is not a working copy directory. <PATH> Is not a working copy.
I admit to being completely lost....
