I guees Plateform are description of the plateform you target for your
dev (currently iPhone or Mac OS X), not the plateform you are running.
Can you tell us what you have in the /Developer/Plateforms directory.
And check also each .plateform directory in this folder to see if it
contains a valid Info.plist.

I think Xcode is confused as to what platform it is on b/c of the
'<unknown>'. Does anyone know how to set up what platform it is?

Was this seen when opening an Xcode project? Just Xcode itself? If
the former did you try with a newly created project?
Anyway try removing the com.apple.Xcode.plist (IIRC) found under ~/
Library/Preferences (save the file, if it is that cause Apple would
maybe want to know what is bad about it).
