Are you sure you have data formatters turned on?
There's been one bug on this, with little information. What we have
is "Sometimes you cannot evaluate an expression because some other
thread has the malloc lock or an ObjC runtime lock."
It would help if youd turn on logging in the Xcode > Preferences >
Debugging panel and attach the log to a Radar report, referencing
rdar://5569547.
