IB3.0 bug? IB3 won't let me move any new objects with the mouse

Has anyone seen this happen to their NIBs?
IB3.0 won't let me move an new controls that are added to my window. I
can drag a control into the window, but as soon as I drop it at its
location, it refused to move the object with the mouse.
I can only select the object if I drag across it (not just by clicking on it)?
Is this a IB3.0 UI bug or do I now have some corrupted NIB? Anyone
know how to fix this and/or prevent the problem in the first place?
Sadly, this is about the 3rd time I've seen this happen? In the past,
I've had to recreate the entire NIB -- but I really don't want to keep
doing that.
