Hello. I have been stuck with this error all morning, and I've made things steadily worse by mucking around with the build settings. Now, each time I try to build a debug or deployment version of my program, XCode now complains: "Command /Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.0 failed with exit code 1" "could not find entry point "start" (perhaps missing crt1.o)" There is no crt1.o anywhere I can see. There's crt2.o and 3.o, but in gcc 3.3, 4.0, and even 4.2 (preview), I can't find crt1.o.
If, in fact, I don't need crt1.o, what should I set in the Project Settings or Build Settings to get this to work?

Did you try performing a complete uninstall and reinstall of Xcode? If the C runtime is missing, then nine times out of ten, that means your installation is b0rked.
