Scroll area jumps when typing a single or double-quote

Since upgrading to 3.1, sometimes when I type a ' or " in a source window, the document scroll area "adjusts" itself, even though the insertion point is visible in the scroll area.

Anyone else seen this? It's driving me *crazy*.
