Can't add .scpt AppleScripts to Copy Bundle Resources

  • Subject: Can't add .scpt AppleScripts to Copy Bundle Resources

I'm investigating why I've always preferred using cp in Run Shell Script Build Phase instead of a Copy Bundle Resources Build Phase.

One reason is that I have some AppleScripts, with names such as SomeScript.scpt, which cannot be added to my target. Their Target Membership checkboxes are nonexistent (in Groups & Files) or disabled (in File Inspector).

Is there any way to add .scpt files to a target and have them copied to Resources in a Copy Bundle Resources Build Phase?

Jerry
