Hi everyone,
I am attempting to set up version control for a project that I have
been brought in to work on.
What I normally do when it's my project, is create the Xcode project
add some files, then import into subversion, move the original, and
then checkout the project and boom, version control is working.
My question though is do I need to do that with this existing
project? It's already in subversion, I have access to it username/
password works great, I can check it out, I can add files but I
still can't use the "SCM" menu for all the source control fun.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
You haven't told us what version of Xcode you're using. That's always
a good idea.
If you're using Xcode 3.0, you can look at:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/XcodeSourceManagement
If you are using Xcode 2.*, there is an SCM portion in its User Guide
you should look at.
Please read that appropriate documentation, and if you still have
questions, post to this list again, and we'll be happy to help you.
