I tried this and got 15 or 20 "No such xattr: com.apple.quarantine"
messages, then Terminal just sat there without giving me any feedback. I'll
let it run for an hour to see if anything happens.
I had run the earlier version of your Terminal command first. Does that
explain why I got the "No such xattr." messages -- i.e., because the first
run had already cleared the attribute for 15 or 20 files?
