It is indeed. Virtually every SCM system allows you to get an
annotated version of a source file that shows what revision each line
was changed in and by whom.
This makes it unnecessary to "tag" changed lines of code. It also
makes it easy to just delete old code to eliminateit rather than use
an #if 0 .. #endif or /* comment */ block. After all, you still have
complete history for your project and can roll back to any earlier
state at any time.
Are you currently using an SCM system? Just because you're not
working in a group (or a large group) doesn't mean you shouldn't use
SCM. :)
