Hello All,

I am using Xcode 3.1 that comes with the iPhone SDK. I'm trying to download a simple app to my iPod Touch, but Xcode "quits unexpectedly" every time I connect it to a USB port on my MacBook.

The detailed error is below:

Process: Xcode [371]
Path: /Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/ Xcode
Identifier: com.apple.Xcode
Version: 3.1 (1037)
Build Info: DevToolsIDE-10370000~1
Code Type: X86 (Native)
Parent Process: launchd [102]
...
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _AMDeviceUSBDeviceID
Referenced from: /Developer/Platforms/Aspen.platform/Developer/ Library/Xcode/Plug-ins/AspenSupport.xcodeplugin/Contents/MacOS/ AspenSupport
Expected in: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ MobileDevice.framework/Versions/A/MobileDevice

If the iPod is connected before I launch Xcode, I get the same error as Xcode launches.

1) Please use Radar to report issues with Beta versions under nondisclosure.

2) You can't upload built apps to a device without the materials you receive as a member of the iPhone Developer Program.

3) iTunes overwrites the MobileDevice framework used by Xcode with. Prior version. To communicate with a device after updating iTunes, reinstall the iPhone SDK. This is in the ReadMe.

Chris
