Hi everyone,
I'm trying to compile some nice source code I have written.
It turns out, that some code I don't want compiled, is being
compiled. Specifically this: "-DTHEO_DEBUG_ON=1" Where is it coming
from??? I want that define only enabled in debug builds. But it's
being enabled in a deployment build!
Here is the command that Xcode creates. I copy/pasted it from my
Build Results window. You can see "-DTHEO_DEBUG_ON=1" is in there.
/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.0 -x c++ -arch i386 -pipe -Wno-trigraphs
-fno-exceptions -fno-rtti -fasm-blocks -O3 -mdynamic-no-pic -
DTHEO_DEBUG_ON=1 -fmessage-length=0 -funroll-loops -ffast-math -
msse3 -fvisibility=hidden -fvisibility-inlines-hidden -fno-
threadsafe-statics -mmacosx-version-min=10.4 -I/Users/theodore/
Programming/Making/ElfData/Source/build/ElfData.build/Deployment/
ewasd.build/ewasd.hmap -F/Users/theodore/Programming/Making/ElfData/
Source/build/Deployment -I/Users/theodore/Programming/Making/ElfData/
Source/build/Deployment/include -I/Users/theodore/Programming/Making/
ElfData/Source/build/ElfData.build/Deployment/ewasd.build/
DerivedSources -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk -c /Users/
theodore/Programming/Making/ElfData/Source/ElfDataSrc/ED_Fuzz/Curr/
ED_Fuzz_2_.cpp -o /Users/theodore/Programming/Making/ElfData/Source/
build/ElfData.build/Deployment/ewasd.build/Objects-normal/i386/
ED_Fuzz_2_.o
But here.... there is no THEO_DEBUG_ON :(
ARCHS = ppc i386
SDKROOT =
GCC_FAST_OBJC_DISPATCH = NO
GCC_AUTO_VECTORIZATION = NO
GCC_ENABLE_SSE3_EXTENSIONS = YES
GCC_MODEL_TUNING = G5
GCC_OPTIMIZATION_LEVEL = 3
GCC_FAST_MATH = YES
GCC_ENABLE_SYMBOL_SEPARATION = NO
GCC_THREADSAFE_STATICS = NO
GCC_UNROLL_LOOPS = YES
GCC_ENABLE_CPP_EXCEPTIONS = NO
GCC_ENABLE_CPP_RTTI = NO
GCC_ENABLE_OBJC_EXCEPTIONS = NO
GCC_ENABLE_PASCAL_STRINGS = NO
GCC_ONE_BYTE_BOOL = YES
GCC_PREPROCESSOR_DEFINITIONS =
So where is it coming from?
Obviously I don't know Xcode as well as I thought.
Is this "project" settings, or "target" settings ?
Have you also check "per-file" flags (file info > build tab).
