I filed a bug report yesterday (#6219000 ... can anyone actually view these other than the submitter & apple??). It seems pretty reproducible on my end, and given that it uses Windows endings the first time you edit & save after a fresh re-start, but goes back to Unix on subsequent edit& saves, I'd say it's gotta be a bug of some kind.

But Xcode seems to "randomly" forget this setting and go back to saving in Unix line endings - I usually don't notice until I'm Comparing with FileMerge (through the SCM options) and this shows that the entire file has changed to Unix line endings again.

Anyone else seen this problem and know a solution for it?

Yes, no.

Or make that yes, bugreport.apple.com.

Yes, please. Please report.

We have had various reports of this behavior over the years, but it's been a _long_ time since any of them turned out to be real bugs. Generally, the issues have been that the settings in the project (the per-file or per-group settings) were set wrong, and Xcode gladly did what it was told to do, and changed the line endings.

If you have reproducible steps, please file a bug report. And even if you discover that the change was caused by something you mistakenly did, it could still be worth filing a bug.
