Thanks for your help, Jon.

I have worked thru the image kit into Picture Taker, great fun.

Image Kit rocks! I now have a very nice looking app and starting to grok Cocoa.

My task is to provide a full-size preview of a live video image and capture a single frame. Snap... QTKit ....done, yes? Oh, by the way..... one more feature.

A feature with a (pun intended) twist: The preview (and capture) must be shown in Mirror mode.

I have been up and down in the classes... even a filter and CoreImage... either I am stumped or missing the obvious, likely both.

Picture taker has a mirror (YES, AT last I have found it!!!!)... but the preview is tiny and "Buddy" is not appropriate for this app. My Kingdom for a full size preview and a title..... So, now I have a Mirror checkbox and Picture Taker working together.... but limited by the buddy window.

Many experiments with Affine Transform and CIImage can't seem to cut it. Seemed like it should, so it's got to be that stumped thing.

MungSaver sample code looked promising, but the build won't load from the Desktop & Screen Saver prefs panel, making me suspect of it being current.

At this point, I think I have done my homework and need a teacher.

This can't be that hard, so I must be making a huge task out of missing a call, so, in between chuckles, if some one can answer the riddle of the rorrim, a mighty thanks is yours.

Gary
