Hiding Doc Sets in Documentation window

I know there's a "Hide Documentation Set" contextual menu in Xcode 3.1.1's Help > Documentation window.

But this only hides subtopics. In some cases one might end up with an entry that is obsolete, but can't be hidden. There is a "Unsubscribe From Vendor" item, but this vendor provides a more recent variant of the same entry. I definitely want to keep getting updates from this vendor.

So how do I trim the number of items in DOC SETS?
