I have some inline assembly that is only built for the PPC
architecture. It uses the CodeWarrior syntax, so I have the
"CodeWarrior-Style Inline Assembly" setting checked (which passes
-fasm-blocks to gcc). I'm using GCC 4.0 and the 10.4 SDK. This
project builds fine under Xcode 3.1.3/Leopard.
Building the same project with no changes under Xcode 3.2/Snow
Leopard produces an error on the file with the inline assembly,
saying "error: asm blocks not enabled, use '-fasm-blocks'".
Sure enough, when I look at the verbose output for the file,
-fasm-blocks is NOT being passed to gcc in Xcode 3.2.
I also reproduced this using a simple test project based on the
Carbon app template, so I don't think it's some odd setting in my
project.
Is this a known issue? Any workaround?
Thanks,
Jim
