10.5.8 Debug Library Framework: App crash on launch: No "CarbonCore"

1.  Install the Mac OS 10.5.8 Debug and Profile Libraries
2.  Restart on Mac OS 10.5.8.
3.  Launch Xcode 3.1.2
4.  Click File > "New Cocoa Application", etc.
5.  Set the Executable to use the "debug" suffix
6.  Build/Run

Result: App crashes on launch.

I believe the problem is stated down at the bottom of the Debugger Console log:

So, no "CarbonCore".  Has anyone else successfully used these libraries?

There was a bit of a glitch installing them. They refused to install because my Mac OS 10.5.8 build number is 9L31a, and Installer wanted a different one and refused to install. So I hacked into the Installer's plist and changed it to look for what I have, then it installed.

Below, I have pasted in the entire Debugger Console log, because I've never used the Debug or Profile library before and am not sure what is normal.
