Han Ming,
Yes, it is 64-bit java:
java -version
java version "1.5.0_16"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_16-
b06-290)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_16-134, mixed mode)
I look forward to see the fix in XCode. For now, I have switched over
to building with Eclipse.
Thanks,
Brad

Are you running 64-bit Java? If it is, it is indeed a bug in 3.1.2
that has been resolved in future version.
If not, please file a bug at bugreport.apple.com with good precise
steps on how to reproduce.
thanks, Han Ming

Searching archives and Googling has not revealed anything about
this problem. Using XCode 3.1.2 on a Java 1.5 project, the Java
debugger will stop on breakpoints correctly, but when I attempt to
use the tree view expansion controls in the Variables pane, the
debugger hangs and I have to force quit my application. Step in/
out/over and all the other controls work correctly until I try to
expand something, like "this". I was not encountering this problem
until upgrading to XCode 3.1 (from version 2-something). Any advice?
