Parallel Target Building with Shared Precompiled Headers failing

  • Subject: Parallel Target Building with Shared Precompiled Headers failing

I am using Xcode 3.2 under Snow Leopard.

Component versions
Xcode IDE: 1610.0
Xcode Core: 1608.0
ToolSupport: 1591.0

I am sharing precompiled headers and have parallel target building turned on.

I have two projects which share the same precompiled header. If I build them in sequence, everything works just fine.

If I build my entire project with many sub-projects and targets, one of the two does not want to wait for the other to finish building the precompiled header and fails with:

cc1plus: error: one or more PCH files were found, but they were invalid

I have filed a bug report ( rdar://7188499 ) and have attached my full build output to the bug.
