The "You cannot use the application ... with this version of Mac OS X" string

  • Subject: The "You cannot use the application ... with this version of Mac OS X" string

I had filed a bug ( rdar://6555546 ) requesting some control over this string that appears when running an application not supported on the current OS.

It has come back as fixed, but the bug doesn't mention what was done to fix it, so I am not sure how to properly test (as I was requested to do) what was done.

Anyone have any more information?
