Thanks, but that isn't the problem. I'm saying that the header files aren't installed at all unless I tell the Xcode installer that I want 10.4 compatibility. I have an existing project that uses libxml2, and another engineer tried to build it under Snow Leopard and got errors because the header files weren't there. The problem went away when he reinstalled Xcode with 10.4 checked.

You need to set your target to search for the /usr/include/libxml2 directory recursively. Below are some detailed notes.
