Using Xcode for automated daily builds; how do I generate version info?

  • Subject: Using Xcode for automated daily builds; how do I generate version info?

I'm envision a system where every time I check something into the depot the build system knows (at a particular time(s) during the day) there are changes so a new build needs to be generated.

My first question is how do I handle the build number and version info? Where does it come from? Does Xcode help with this or do I have to create something from scratch?

-Michael
