Well, yes, but I was hoping for a little more context.
For example, in practice, how does a developer writing a routine using
CGPostKeyboardEvent find the virtual CGKeyCode that must be provided as a
parameter? I do have a little utility that tells me what keyCode is
generated by the keys on my keyboard. Is that all I need to ensure that my
routines will work as expected on other keyboards, for example, in other
countries?
IM Text tells me all about KMAP resources and KeyTranslate and all that. But
if the virtual keyCode is supposed to be standardized, or invariant, or
hardware independent, I would have expected a printed table.
